Ayurveda’s definition of health is all encompassing--it is the perfect union of body, mind, senses and soul. The systems of Yoga and Ayurveda continually invite us to consider ourselves as more than just a human-doing. In these traditions, we are reminded to hold ourselves as sacred and whole and to see our habits in everyday living as the way to experience optimal health or Svastha, a Sanskrit word that translates to "being established in one's self."
To find our way towards Svastha, we’ll approach Ayurveda through the map of the Three Pillars of Health: nourishment, sleep and management of our vital resources. These are the key elements to balancing our energies, supporting digestive strength and building healthy tissues for a strong body, balanced emotions, and a clear and stable heart-mind. Through conversation, we’ll explore this map and how it unfolds differently for each of us.
Building on the previous workshop, Sona's aim is to plant the seeds for your continued self-discovery. Please bring your curiosities, a journal and water!
