Assisting provides a wonderful opportunity to support your students, facilitate attunement to the wisdom of their own bodies, and affirm their efforts.  A posture is never inherently bad or wrong. A teacher is there to support the student’s exploration into her/his own body and how it works and feels. In this module (providing 10 CEs to yoga teachers), we will explore: creating an empowering, confident approach to assisting students in their practice, establishing safe, effective & appropriate touch, different types of assisting – when, why & how to use them and more.

To close the practice, Sona will help direct this renewed flow of energy in your body through a group Qi (energy) transmission, amplifying the effects of the postures and leaving you filled up, rested and rejuvenated. Finally, Kat will conclude the afternoon with Pranayama, a short meditation, and grounding work to help integrate the session and solidify the overall balance in the body.
