We don't just mirror nature, we ARE nature within our embodied beings. We are designed so brilliantly, yet often forget how connected we are to everything around us. Seasonal rhythms—should we choose to lean into them—are a foolproof guide to navigating our wellness and connecting to our body's innate wisdom.
This six-week series combines the wisdom and practical application of Ayurveda, Yoga and Shamanism into our daily self-care routines (dinacharya) and rituals. The practices span a range of focuses; some are more broad themes, others are specific—some dietary, some meditative, some yoga or exercise-based, and others geared to sleep or self-care. Each is designed to be followed at a particular time of day, during a particular season when it is most supported. And each practice is sequenced in a way that allows you to not only feel connected to Nature’s rhythms, but also connects you to a consistent and steadfast practice that allows you to feel better in new ways each day.
Winter is a season of rest and healing, while January is often a time to set new goals or resolutions. The two are not as contrary as one may think. As we align with the season and embody our deep relationship with nature, we empower ourselves to connect with our truest self, from which our deepest purpose (dharma) and deepest desires (sankalpa) can emerge.
