Āyurveda is a 5,000+ year-old holistic healing system and sister science to yoga that provides an elegant understanding of the interplay between our body, mind and spirit through the lens of the five elements.
In a follow-on workshop to Āyurveda Foundations: Everyday Wellness, Sona will be exploring foundational material taught in the introductory workshop in greater detail, to include all aspects of optimizing our digestion and Dinacharya practices. In addition, the main focus will be exploring the elements that are most dominant in our particular semi-arid desert climate here in Las Cruces and how we can find balance most skillfully throughout the various seasons and junctures of the year. We will dive deeper into what Āyurveda calls the Three Pillars of Health or trayopastambha, including sleep, nourishment (nutrition) and managing energy all in the context of these predominant elements.
